Top 5 news of the week

Another week’s end, so here are my top 5 news of this week.

1. The Nintendo Switch has finally been released and it was on Friday 3/3/2017 to be more precise that fans of both Nintendo and videogames in general could finally sink their teeth in Nintendo’s next generation console. According to sources the console has been selling well which could prove to be a small concern from Microsoft and Sony. More accurate sales on the first week of the console will be presented in this blog on a later date. To be continued.

2. Logan: The Wolverine has simply dominated the box office around the world. In the US the film has had an 85 million dollars weekend and around the globe at almost 238 million dollars which is a very good opening weekend, especially for an r-rated film. The film totally deserves these good financial successes so if you have not seen it yet, do it now.

3. A new trailer for the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean movie have been released where we see a young Jack Sparrow and more of the antagonist Captain Salazar played by Javier Bardem. Link to trailer below:

4. Happy birthday! The Nintendo 64 celebrates its 20th birthday in Europe on March 1st as the console was released almost a year after Japan (wow…really?) Anyway congrats to this amazing console that made my schoolyears even brighter with so many amazing games.

5. Ea will announce their upcoming Star Wars titles next month. It is especially interesting to see Star Wars Battlefront II and what the game can accomplish and if it can measure or even surpass the first Battlefront they released in November 2015.
